Dear Dr. Lederberg:

I enjoyed talking with you last week about the Society's
new research fellowship programs in endocrinology and
reproductive physiology. As you suggested, I telephoned
Dr. Bardin at the Population Council, and he was quite
enthusiastic about the project.

We had a lengthy discussion about the forms our collabora-
tion could take. Dr. Bardin offered assistance in a nun-
ber of ways, including help in recruiting applicants for
the two fellowship positions. I am writing to him with a
description of the research projects we hope to conduct in
association with the Council.
