Dear Doctor Garfield,

Many thanks for your kind letter concerning coverage
of Plant Science Letters in C.C. I am sorry that the
journal has been causing you so much inconvenience
especially since I feel that I am in part responsible.
For almost one year I have been harassing the Elsevier
people in order to get coverage of P.S.L. in C.C..

I am trying now to convince the Elsevier people to
expedite the matter. Your letter has been most useful
since it gave me a somewhat clearer picture of the sit
uation. Often from Amsterdam'I gét contradictory reports
and, at times, accounts that, at least in my opinion,
appear to be incoherent, Perhaps by dealing directly
with you and with the Elsevier people it will be possi
ble to solve the problem to everybody's satisfaction.

I shall keep you informed of any further develop=
ment. Many thanks for your courtesy and your kind ins
