Dear Dr. Lederberg:

Per our conversation, I am sending with this letter
a copy of the Army's report on the exercises at
the National Training Center and a paper on the
Computerized Moment Stability System. The inventor
of the CMSS is a fellow named Steve Drabowski, who I'm sure
would be happy to talk with you about it (215-643-
5050). I think it makes a good deal of sense,
especially in view of its almost trivial cost.

I very much enjoyed our lunch, and I look
forward to talking with you again. I hope to
pursue the search for "John Boyds" in other
fields, and if I can put together a small
project on this, I would very much appreciate
your advice and guidance.
