We are enclosing a copy of our experiments
dealing with selection versus mutation. We will be glad
to have your comments and criticisms on this work.

We will get the paper on catalase to you next
week, showing that catalase can reverse the mutating activity
of irradiated broth. Wyss will also send you the summary
of his method of inducing mutations with moe, prtracts.

If you have no objection to sending them, we
would like very much to have the following strains of E.coli
as one of our men is interested in testing recombinations:
strains 58-161, y 10, y 53, and B-M~ Lactose ~ if available.

You are welcome to quote from this work as
you choose. We are to have it in press shortly. If you
see any serious objections, we would be glad to have your
criticisms soon. Any further information that we ean give
you on this, we will be glad to do sa,
