comments are greatly appreciated. I agree with you about the nature of
Dr. Sonneborn. I should have mentioned that I first sty@mbled onto
this case when investigating the Sonneborn papers in BLoomingtan, when
doing some research for my doctoral thesis on the history of fp
cytoplasmic inheritance.¢ That text entitled "Cytoplasmic Inheritance he
and the struggle for authority in the field of heredity" will appear
next year as the first in a new monograph series on the history and
philosophy of the Life sciences published by Oxford University Press
and edited by Lewontin, Burian and Burkhardt.)
