7 Thank you for your letter. I am enclosing a

VIPs syllabus for the course and am of course open to sugges—
tions. It seems to me that I cannot hope to carry it out
yf in less than 28-30 lectures, and fortunately the seminar
y on health and vital statistics has been postponed to
3¥ yo, September so that I am free to start earlier than
reef anticipated. I will also send a list of books necess-
3 FSS ary or useful for the course.
$3 I would be very pleased if lectures were
$s p concentrated in the middle of the week, e.g. Tuesday,
