Fusfetd Director, Technology Dear Joshua: Management Group Pugh—Roberts Associates Thank you for your usual prompt response and the packet of information on your activities at R.U. In particular, I enjoyed reading "Organizational Dynamics". We usually have our luncheon on the second Thursday of the jronth. However, if you know when you will be in the Boston area and, as you suggest, can fix a specific date in May (or June) five to seven weeks in advance, then any week day will be fine. The luncheon starts at 12:30 with the talk usually starting at 1:30. We try to break by 2:30. Our current meeting place is the Sheraton Motor Inn in Lexington (until November we met at the Lexington Kennecott Dev. Ctr. but that has recently been closed down). A projector (35 mm or overhead) and screen can be available if you wish them. Some of the speakers use the podium in the room and others stand at their table. Our luncheons seem to differ somewhat from your "Welch Hall tradition" in that the BRDC speaker controls the "conversation". There are questions and comments, however, so there may be some similarity. I have continued my interest in membranes and separation processes since Stanford. You may be interested in the enclosed reprints. I presented the two papers on electrodialysis at the 1979 IDEA (International Desalination and Environmental Association) conference in Nice. All of the topics you have suggested are fine. Let me think a little more about them and get back to you. Unfortunately, we must select only one. I hope this works out and that I will see you soon. Best regards, DE] sansa, Ph.D. Chairman P.S. If I know your Boston itinerary, I shall be happy to drive you at a minimum to and from the meeting. JEL/kjm
