While I was aware that you had moved from Stanford
to the Rockerfeller University (from the "Stanford Observer"
May 1980), it did not occur to me until reading your article
in the December 1980 issue of "The Sciences" that you might
have the occasion to visit the Boston area. If this is the
case and you can find time in your schedule, I shall be
delighted to have you speak at one of the BRDC's monthly
luncheon meetings.

The BRDC is an informal organization of research/
development management personnel from some forty to fifty,
middle to large-sized companies in the Boston area. The
organization started in the mid-forties with the purpose of
providing a forum for R&D management to discuss problems and
trends in, primarily industrial, research. I joined the
group shortly after moving to the Boston area from Chicago
in 1976.

As starters, either the month of May or June would
be good. If you are interested, perhaps you could suggest a
few topics. (I have enclosed a list of the ten most popular
talks over the past three years.) If you think appropriate
and has been done on other occasions, I could invite a larger
audience than the BRDC.
