Our office receives innumerable inquiries from both in-house
and other organizations concerning Academy members. These requests
for information cover possible participants in committee and assembly
efforts, as well as those being considered for special honors. In
addition, we find we are receiving more and more queries from those
dealing with the history of science. Obviously, having complete
membership data available is becoming increasingly important to the
Academy.

We would like to be able to respond to inquiries with accurate
information. To that end, I am hoping that you can provide us with
the material indicated on the enclosed checklist. Please be assured
that information contained within the Academy files is selectively
provided. Only that which is in the public domain is distributed
upon request.

Your cooperation in helping to establish an effective set of YL
