I am pleased to inform you that we now have a Science Advisory Board Executive Committee which will be able to consult with Bill regularly on his constant flow of new ideas. The Chair is Dr. Marott Sinex and the members are Drs. Demopoulos, Goldstein, Williams and Al Rosenfeld. I know we are all grateful for their willingness to take on this additional involvement. We are planning to hold a Board of Director's meeting and a Science Advisory Board meeting in New York City the 3rd week of March. It will be held at the Puritan board room which is at 1400 Broadway, 4th Floor. I will call you as soon as w have decided on a specific date. I very much look forward to meeting you at that time. , Since taking on my new responsibilities I have started out by beginning to pull together appropriate materials to be used for fundraising purposes, to contact members of the print and electronic media for future publicity and to meet with representatives of organizations with whom we can possibly share services for either fundraising, public relations or sources for research projects. In that regard, I have enclosed a copy of a report (FIBER Accomplishments and Goals) which combines in part a format and information that you have seen previously in different form. I am presently planning on using this report as follow-up information to potential contributors and temporarily in place The Fund for Integrative Biomedical Research is a non-profit corporation. I have enjoyed working with Miles Rubin in the past and am very pleased to have the opportunity to do so again.
