Dear Josh,

Iam sending this to your Stanford address as I know you will be having
somewhat of a commuting summer, and first of all I want to join my
voice to that of Christian de Duve in urging you to accept the very
pleasant and not too onerous job of joining the Advisory Board of his
International Institute of Cellular and Molecular Pathology. The reason,
I might add, is entirely selfish - it would give me, and sometimesLyn,
an opportunity to see you in relaxed and rather glittering surroundings
at least once in each of the next couple of years! The last meeting in
June was highlighted by a spectacular dinner in the Royal Palace as the
King and Queen of Belgium are major patrons of the Institute. Itisa
very congenial group indeed!

I any case, I hope we shall meet, even if only briefly, during Ken Warren's
jamboree at your Institute on November 12th. I will only be able to stay
for three or four days but hope you will be able to put in an appearance

and give Ken some moral support.

In relation to your mysterious request for a CV and publications list,
enclosed please find the official version as maintained by the Institute,
which no doubt you can chop down as required.
