Many thanks for yours of December 19th concerning the problem
of coral. I'm most interested in your hypothesis, and have passed the suggestions
on both to the new Director of the Commonwealth Serum Laboratories, Dr. Neville
McCarthy, and to the appropriate authorities in the University of Queensland who
are in charge of the research station at Heron Island. If anything turns up from
these enquiries, I shall naturally forward it to you forthwith.
