Joshua Lederberg a Fallow of The Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Medical Research with assignment for supervision to the Department of Botany, Yale University, for a period of one year beginning September 7, 1944, and ending September 6, 1947; and that a grent in the total wm of $2,400 be made to Yale University, Department of Betany, to be used during the year beginning September 7, 1944, and ending September 6, 1947, to provide « fellowship of $1,900 and a research allowance of $600 for the year for Mr, Lederberg as a Fellow of The Jane Coffin Childs Memorial Fund for Hedical Research, representing a second grant under Project No. 61-6. Payments for the research exsense allowance and stipend of Mr. Lederberg will be made by transfer of funds in the office of the Treasurer of Yale University to the secount of this sroject, according to the following scheduler Shortly after Septanber 10, 1946: $300 rebearch exsense allowance 600 stivend Shortly after January 1, 1947: 300 research expense allowance 900 abipend Shortly after July 1, 1947: 309 stipend Any wexpended’ balance as of September 6, 1947, is to be returned to the Fund. Ur, Lederberg is asked to agree to furnish to the Board of Scientific Advisers « report of the work done shortly after the termination of the fellowship.
