It was a great pleasure for Martha and me to see you and
Marguerite on Monday evening at the I. B. Singer dinner and
lecture, and I want to express my thanks for all your help
and that of your staff on this occasion.

It is apparent to me, from the immense popularity of the
lecture, that we have a clear vote of confidence on the
part of both communities to continue our planned series of
activities (although let's hope for a somewhat smaller
