seens to me the best possible organization, ad the general
approach.

I'a appreciate your opinion on this proposal, some
indication of what you pian to cover in your presentation,
an@ your suggestions for the discussion periods, especially

regarding the organisation, your participation, and other
Gesireble discussants,

In general, I feel that the moet valuable and inter~-
esting part of a symposium is the discussion, provided tat
it can be kept relatively inforwal end directly pertizent.
It would seem to me that the success of our diecussion sessions
Will @epend a) on the organization of the preceding papers to
provide the background end orientation and to suggest the
areas and questions te be discussed, ard b) on the cooperatio:
and participation of all of us in the discussion.

XY would like to suggest that each speaker send me
a bricf resume or outline of his talk, end his suggestions
on the scope Gnd organisation of the @tecuseions, preferably
includi: « specific questions wiich he or others to be suggested
could @iscuss. I would then better be able to coordinate the
Giscussions in line with the suggestions,
