ine the ‘VW minute news April 15, 1969 VOL. T - No. T HURRAY! SOMETHING ELSE TO READ! If all goes well and if we have survived the earthquake and the site visit, May 7 will witness the first issue of a newsletter for Area V in somewhat the format you see here. Hopefully, it will be published every Wednesday afternoon thereafter. PLEASE DON'T ASK TO HAVE A COPY SENT TO YOUR MAIDEN UNCLE Circulation is intended only for Area V headquarters personnel and committee members so that the cost of distribution and the contents can be kept manageable. V-MINUTE NEWS is not meant to replace or compete with VIEWPOINT. The latter will continue to be Area V's official publication, with an’ expanding circulation and, as circumstances permit, more frequent issues. The next issue is scheduled for May 1. OBJECTIVES AND GOALS You'll be relieved to hear that there aren't going to be any. The sole purpose of V-MINUTE NEWS is to keep all of us better informed without having to wait for the official minutes which will not arrive until the week after next. THIS IS A FAMILY AFFAIR, SORT OF To make V-MINUTE NEWS effective, everyone will have to participate. Masterpieces of prose aren't neces- Sary~-just the facts--the gory details can be tracked down later by anyone who is interested. CALENDAR The reverse side of V-MINUTE NEWS will contain a calendar which will indicate meetings scheduled for the week following the Monday after publication and forward, for as far ahead as space allows. The information for the calendar will be based on the Area V master calendar, and from official notices of meetings which are distributed to members: of committees. If there is some reason a meeting should not be listed in V-MINUTE NEWS, this had better be noted on the Meeting Notice. (We shall, of course, be vastly intrigued to know the reason!). RMP SPOKEN HERE This is the place to communicate with your fellow-toilers--briefly. If it happened in Area V or affects us, let us know.
