Services and Mental Health Administration2+oF which RMP is part==will have a new Administrator in ‘the person of Dr. Vernon E, Wilson. . Dr. Wilson succeeds Dr. Joseph T. English, who is resigning to become first presi- dent of the New York City | Health and Hospitals Corporation. Dr. Wilson comes to his new y position from a post as Executive Director for Health Affairs at the University of Missouri, Columbia, where, since 1959, he has served successively, as a professor of pharmacology, Sean of the School of Medicine and Director of the Medical Center before his present post. A native of lowa, Dr. Wilson was born February 16, 1915, in Plymouth County, received a B. S. degree in 1950 and in 1952 a Masters Degree in Pharmacology, M.D. from the University © of Iilinois at Urbana. He served os an assistant in the School of Pharmacology at Illinois University 1950-52. During 1953-1959, Dr.. Wilson was an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology, and assistant and then associate dean at the University of Kansas, Lawrence. OF particular interest to RMP is the fact that Dr. Wilson was the original coordinator of Regional. Medical Programs at the Wniversity: of Missouri, As Administrator. of HSMHA,.
