NEW POLICY OF AND DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY BY THE
NATIONAL ADVISORY COUNCIL ON REGIONAL MEDICAL, =
PROGRAMS SERVICE REGARDING GRANTS WITH
TRIENNIAL STATUS
Effective this date the following constitutes new Council policy

and delegation of authority which supersedes existing relevant

policies/authorities.

   

Policy

In considering. the: threé-year budget submitted by a Regional
Medical Program applicant in a triennial application where the
Council recommends support for more than one year, it is under-

_ stood that the recommended level of support for future years of
the approved period shall not be less than the amount recommended
for the first year unless othervise specified,

Delegation of Authority to the.Director, RMPS

The Council delegates to the Director, RMPS, authority to approve
* an RMP's programmatic changes during the period of transition from

four to three-cycle review, including new initiatives in keeping

with the natural progréss- of the Region, provided that the Region

submits to the Director a plan covering the interim period and
