Dear Mr. Carter:
Your article, Prologue to Blood Plasma, in the December edition of What's New, is generous, accurate and extremely well-done. I am happy that Scudder and I were written up as a team for so it was that we did our work. My friends, of course, were extremely pleased and many folks whom I did not know have called to tell me of the article.  Our men in Medicine are happy that you saw fit to run this article and feel a sense of gratitude to the Abbott Laboratories.
The sketches by Elby I found very interesting, the whole volume one well worth saving.
I have had several requests for a copy, which, of course, I could not fulfill. Is it possible that I might obtain about a dozen extra copies of this particular number or, if that is not possible, could I have made through your printer reprints of the article itself?
