Hello Charlie -
Hope you and all the family are well. It has been years since I wrote you and I am doing so now for Fredi Washington. She is very interested in doing a story of your life and wants your consent and necessary information to do so.
She has talked to Mr. Herman Shamlin who has produced the Lillian Hellman plays. He is connected with MGM and considered one of our best Broadway producers. He is very interested and thinks the story should be done, considering all mediums (screen, play, or book).
Of course she would like to know your reaction and have your consent. If this idea meets with your approval let her have all the necessary data. Mother and Father's names -- occupations: Sisters and Brother names: family environment: early education: scholarships and dates entered college and names of colleges: Fellowship-date of Research of Blood Plasma: names of colleagues if any: Wife's name and former occupation: number of children: Date of assignment at Freedman's: present position there and at Howard; also include occupation during Summer vacation to earn money before entering Med. School and during same period.
Your Life's Story will be most interesting and enlightening and one we can view with pride and the public should know.

We saw Link Johnson Friday night just for a short chat and she told him then what she had in mind and he thought it was a grand idea.
