I feel it's time I started thinking about my travel arrangements to and from Spetsai.  On the programme I have, the first lecture is on Monday morning, 23rd August, and the last lecture finishes about 8.00 pm on Friday 3rd September.  I seem to remember there was some suggestion that group travel might be arranged.  Has anything come of that?  As far as I remember, Thanos offered to drive me down to Spetsai in his car.  I presume that means I should arrive some time on Saturday 21st August, stay the night in Athens and motor down with him on the Sunday.  In the same way I take it that one would travel back to Athens on Saturday 4th September, and fly back on Sunday 5th September.  Does all this sound reasonable?
We were all very saddened to learn of Jacques' death, I realized he was dangerously ill but he seemed superficially to be in such good health that I felt there was a good hope of seeing him again.  I am only glad that we had the opportunity of meeting him during our visit, even though it was for the last time.
