Thank you for your letter on the polypeptides.
I think you will be interested to know that our dark lady leaves us next week and much of the 3 dimensional data is already in our hands. I am now reasonably clear of other committments [sic] and have started up a general offensive on Nature's secret stronghold on all fronts: models, theoretical chemistry, and interpretation of data [ . . . ]line and comparative. At last the decks are clear and we can put all hands to the pumps!
It won't be long now.
