The fee for all the courses is $50. Matriculation-fee, $3. Students of the third course, who have attended one or both of the previous courses in other respectable colleges, will pay $10. Two full courses in this in- stitution, will entitle students to a third course, on the payment of the matriculation-fee only. Graduation- fee, $18. Doctors of Medicine are admitted without fee, Each student, on entering the College, must enroll his name on the records of the Institution, with the> place of his residence and the name of his instructor; and, at the same time, pay the fee of matriculation. Within ten days from the commencement of the term, eaoh student must pay the fee for the course. GRADUATION. The degree of Doctor of Medicine is conferred^ at the the close of the lecture-term upon those gentlemen who, having studied medicine three years with a respectable physician, and attended two full courses of leo- tures (one of which must be at this institution,) have passed a satisfactory examination before the Faculty and Board of Examiners. All candidates for examination are required to present to the Dean, as early as June 1st, satisfactory certifi- cates of having become twenty-one years of age, and of three years' study with a Doctor of Medicine, the tick- ets of two courses of lectures, and an original dissertation on some subject connected with medical science. The dissertations are to be fairly written on uniform paper—for preservation in the College. Examinations will be conducted by the Faculty, in the presence of the Board of Examiners appointed annu- ally by the Supreme Court of Yermont. Any gross immorality of character, becoming known to the Paculty, will disqualify a student for examina- tion for a degree. TEXT-BOOKS. The following works are recommended for collateral reading during the lectures. Practice of Medicine.—Mackintosh, Stokes, Hall or Watson. Obstetrics.—Gooch, Dewees, Yelpeau, Ramsbotham, Churchill or Meigs. Surgery.—John and Charles Bell, S. Cooper, Liston, Fergusson, Druitt or Chelius. — Anatomy.—Bell, Horneay JJmhlin. Dissector, Wilson, Cruveilhiftr or Quain and Sharpey. ,. __._______ Physiology.—Muller, Carpenter or Kirkes and Paget. Pathological Anatomy.—Andral, Gross or Jones and Sieveking. Materia Medica.—"United States Dispensatory, Pereira or Boyle. Chemistry.—Turner, Beck, Silliman or Fownes. Medical Jurisprudence.—Beck, Byan or Taylor. PRIVATE T 33 R 3VE . In the three months immediately preceding the lectures, Prof. Thayer will instruct in Practical Anatomy, giving demonstrations daily. The Dissecting Room of the College will accommodate forty students. Anatomical material will be supplied abundantly, at cost. The term begins on the 1st of December. Wilson's Anatomy is recommended as a text- book. Fee.—$15 for three months. Board, including room, fuel, lights and washing, may be obtained in good families, at from $2,50 to $3,00 per week. W. H.
