Hill, Governor of the State of New York: Sir.— In compliance with your request, previously made to me, to furnish you a detailed report of the facts and circumstances attending the execution of convict William Keinmler, alias John Hart, I have the honor to respectfully submit the following : William Kemmler, alias John Hart, was duly executed by elec- tricity at Auburn Prison, in the city of Auburn, Cayuga county, N. Y., at 6.49 o’clock a. m. on the 6th day of August, 1890.
