DYER’S HEALING EMBROCATION, FOR EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL USE. ... •> Since the introduction to the public of this wonderful medicine some important ad- ditions and improvements have been made in its composition, increasing its value and making it applicable to a greater number of diseases, especially to those of the stom- ach anrl bowels. It is now used internally with (if possible) greater success than externally, particu- larly in Diarrhoea, Cholera Morbus, and Summer complaints generally. A single dose is usually all that is required to arrest and overcome a severe case of CHOLERA MORBUS, which if unattended to for a few hours will lead to serious consequences, and will eventually terminate in Spasmodic Cholera. In case of Cholera Morbus attended with pains or cramp in the stomach, take a tea- spoonful of the Embrocation in a v me glass of water, and repeat the dose every half hour until the pain and discharges subside. For simple Diarrhoea or looseness of the bowels, the same dose may betaken and continued at longer intervals until the dis- charge’is corrected. In both cases it should be used externally by bathing the chest and stomach freely, rubbing it in with the hand until it produces a burning and smarting sensation. Almost immediate relief is obtained and a cure ultimately effect- ed. It possesses soothing, healing, and pain destroying properties uneqiialled by any, other compound medicine, and we have never known it to fail in arresting the pro - gress of the above named diseases. ' It is a perfect pain destroyer, and an invaluable remedy for Rheumatism, Cuts, Wounds, Pain in the Side, Back and Limbs, Lumbago, Sore Throat, 'Burns, Scalds, Swellings, Ague, Cramp, &c. For cuts and wounds, it is superior to any other pre- paration ; it will afford immediate relief in scalds or burns, and for pains or weakness in any part of the system, it will give certain relief in a very littlS time. (Used internally, it is one of the most valuable remedies for cramp, or spasmodic affections, for pains or soreness in the side, throat, chest, or stomach; for sick head- ache, nausea, sea sickness, rheumatism, or any internal weakness caused by fall or strain. In these cases, a teaspoonful of the Embrecation should taken in a wine glass of cold water, and then it should be applied externally as near the seat of disease as possible, and well rubbed in with the hand.) To Rheumatic Patients.—The following communication front Col. WILLIAM W. BROWN, the distinguished COMMANDANT of the FIRS'!' LIGHT INFANTRY COMPANY, OF PROVIDENCE, R. I., will be read with interest by those afflicted with this painful complaint, the RHEUMATISM. To Charles Dyer, Jr. — Dear Sir: I am happy to furnish you my testimony in favor of your Healing Embrocation. The benefit I received from it was so decided that I can recommend it to others. My situation was such as to test its excellence thoroughly, and I pronounce it a most effectual remedy for rheumatism. I was attacked with the severest form of this disease, and from being so affected as to be obliged to keep my bed at times, and to be disabled from taking the gentlest exercise, I was so far restored by it, after the use of one bottle, ns to be able to walk in an erect position, and with comfort. The Embrocation was applied by hand, twice a dfty, and the effect was always to relax the contracted muscles, and to quiet thejsain. I was encouraged to give it a faithful trial, and, after the use of four or five bottles, was entirely cured of what I had feared was a permanent lameness. My experience with this preparation enables me to pronounce it the best 1 ever knew’, and I can freely recommend it as an invaluable remedy for the most tedious rheumatism. Yours truly, Providence, Dee. 8, 1845. WM. W. BROWN, 125 Westminster St. 2 To h[others and Heads of Families. — This may certify that in my profession, as nurse, I have used the Healing Embrocation for sevoral years past in a great variety of cases, and have never known it to fail in relieving the worst form of sore nipples, broken or caked breasts, numbness and pain in the limbtf, rheumatism, cuts, wounds, scalds or bums, and various local-injuries, strains, bruises or sprains, &c. It is decidedly the best remedy I have ever known for an immediate and effectual appli- cation in these cases; and I consider it'of the highest importance that every family should keep a quantity of it on hand, to be used in any emergency. I therefore most cordially and earnestly recommend it to all as an invaluable preparation. Providence, July 15, 1845. MARY LAND. Rheumatism, Wounds, Bruises, Cuts, fye. — The annexed certificate from the venera- ble Mr. tenner, so well and universally known in this community as having been in the employment of the Providence 1). B. S-. C. Co. for thirtv-oue years past, is ample and conclusive testimony in favor of the most valuable and potent remedy of the age: This may certify, that a few weeks since I was thrown between the wheels and body of a carriage, and drawn some distance by the runnitlb of the horse, whereby 1 was severely bruised and wounded in different parts of rnv body nnd face, and my teeth were loosened by a blow received in falling. I made an hum diate application of Dyer’s Healing Embrocation to the wounded parts, and particularly around my teeth and gums, and bathed my limbs with it faithfully. In a few days the wounds were healed, my teeth became firmly seated again, ami the bruises ur:d lameness entirely left me, and I used no other medicine but the Embrocation, I bad previ- ously experienced its beneficial effects in a severe rase of rheumatism, when the pain and inflammation had been very severe for several days, and it was removed in one night by using thi3 potent remedy. It was most successfully used by a member of my family, who had stepped upon a nail, which penetrated the foot to a considerable depth; the foot was accidentally wet, shortly afterward-, which produced inflamma- tion and great pain. The Embrocation was nppli 1 freely, and a cure was effected in three days. I esteem it as the most valuable remedy for cuts, wounds, bruises, rheumatism, and sprains, that I have ever known ; and I cheerfully recommend it to families and to every mechanic for immediate application in any of these.eases. Providence, April 20,1846. THOMAS FENNER. Providence, October 29th, 1846. Me. 0. Dyer, Jr. — Pear Sir: Unsolicited by you, I deem it my duty to say a few words in my estimation of your invaluable preparation, very properly named "Healing Embrocation.” On the 21st day of October, in making tho attempt to close a window, J thrust my hand through a pane of glass, cutting my wrist very severely. I immediately applied to you (as you doubtless recollect) for a bottle of your Healing Embrocation, saying that there was a chance to prove its healing qualities. I kept the wound constantly bathed, as directed by you; and the result is, that I am now enabled to write this certificate in its favor, and have used the same hand to extract several teeth. Respectfully yours, C. P. METCALF, Dentist, No. 23 Westminster St 3 RLeuniatkm — Tins may certify, that for the last three weeks I have been severely afflicted with a rheumatic affection which deprived me of the use of my limbs, and rendered me for the time entirely helpless. I used, without any beneficial effect, Kitteredge’s Ointment, Andrews’s Liniment, and three bottles of Davis’s Pain Killer. I finally procured one bottle of Dyer’s Healing Embrocation, and it effected more before I had finished using it than all the other preparations together; and I attribute mv recovery and ability to resume my labors entirely to this valuable remedy, Dyer s Healing Embrocation, and would* earnestly recommend its use to all persons who may be similarly afflicted. PARLEY BATCHELDER. Smithficld, Nov. 17, 1846. ■A lady In Windham, Conn., sprainc*. her ancle three months since, and has used all the usual restoratives prescribed in such cases, without effect. Within the last ten days 1ms used the Embrocation, with the action of which she is so highly pleased that she orders a quantity of it forwarded immediately foi her use and the use of her friends, who are anxious to test its merits, having heard of the astonishing effect produced in the cure of this lady. — June 10, 184G. Important. — I feel a duty incumbent on me to add my testimony to the mass of others which you must already have received in favor of your invaluable Healing Embrocation, although I am satisfied of my inability to do it the justice which it fully deserves: still would I earnestly recommend its use to all persons who may be afflicted with headache, pains in the side or stomach, and for cuts, wounds, bruises, sprains, or rheumatism, and all will acknowledge, as I freely do, that it cannot be surpassed; for 1 have used it in most of these cases with perfect satisfaction, and would not now be without it in my possession upon any consideration. A short time since, I was attacked with a severe headache, to which I have been frequently subject. I immediately resorted to the Embrocation, and by taking a teaspoonful of it internally, and bathing my forehead and temples with it, in less than five minutes I was entirely relieved of the headache. I have known others to use it in similar eases, with the same salutary and remarkable effect. I have frequently used it with the most decided and marked results upon my horses. One particular case I bad last spring, when a horse was so badly wounded in the leg that I supposed I should lose lnm entirely. I used all the remedies which I had formerly heard prescribed, without effect. I procured three bottles of the Embrocation, and applied it faithfully to the wounded part, and within ten days the wound was entirely healed, and the horse was put to work and was perfectly well, and there was no scar left, and the wounded part cannot be discovered. I use this remarkable healing and pain-destroying remedy in all cases of cuts, wounds, and bruises, and in internal pains and distress, and it never fails to give immediate relief or to effect a cure. It will heal wounds, cuts, or sores, upon man or animals, sooner than any other preparation I have ever used. I am very respectfully ydurs, &c., To Mr. Charles Dyer, Jr. ORSON MOFFIT. The following statement, made hv Mr. Joseph L. Denise, (whose services are so justly and highly appreciated by the sick as a nurse,) 'will be read with interest by the' afflicted, and those suffering under painful diseases. His statements coincide with all others who have used this extraordinary prepara- tion. which is taking precedence of every other article for similar purposes. To the Sick and Disabled. — I feel great pleasure in making the following statements in relation to one of the most efficacious and valuable remedies with which I am acquainted. Having suffered-much from LUMBAGO for a considerable time past, I have resorted to all the approved remedies which have come under my observation, .including Davis's l’ain Killer, &c., but received no benefit from them. I heard of DYER’S HEALING EMBROCATION, and procured a bottle and commenced using it; and from the first application 1 began to improve, and before the bottle was empty I was entirely well. 1 have known of its use in many cases similar to my own, as well as for rheumatism, cuts, wounds, lameness, pains in the limbs and body, &c., and have never known it to fail in its beneficial effects in all cases. I have had many opportunities to witness its curative, healing, and pain-destroving properties, in my professional attendance upon the sick and disabled, and I now most cordially and unhesitatingly give it as my opinion, that it is unsurpassed, if it is equalled, by any other preparation for the various purposes for which this neat and elegant remedy may be successfully applied. JOSEPH L. DENISE. Providence, Dec. 8, 1846. 4 ALMOST MIRACULOUS. Ma. C. Dyer, Jn.—Dear Sir: I feel groat pleasure in stating to you some of the highly beneficial eliei-ts of your truly Healing Embrocation which has been expe- rienced by members of my family. In the first important cure it was used by my v/ife. who accidentally upset a vessel containing boiling fat, which completely cov- ered her left hand. The pain was excriHiating indeed; so much so as to requite the application of remedies to prevent her fainting. VVe fortunately bad a little of tin Embrocation in the house. 1 immediately wrapped a linen handkerchief nround her hand saturated it with the Embrocation, and in five minutes the pain coated and there appeared little or no soreness, and the next morning the wrapper was removed entirely and she experienced no further inconvenience from the accident. In another case my eldest son was amusing himself with his companions near thy Engine Depot of the Stonington Railroad and they were preparing to build a fire to bake clams on the banks opposite the Depot and in picking up chips, &c. for fuel being barefoot he accidentally stepped into a pile of hot cinders that had just been discharged from one of the engines, which burnt his feet and ancles terribly. Ih- was nearly a mile from home. lie walked a part of the way through water and the rest of the distance through sand. He reached home at last in greaf distress. IE mother immediately applied the Embrocation freely which at once stopped the pain and healed the burn, and the t,icxt day he was able to put on his hoot and go to school. On Saturday last the same hoy was riding down a very steep declivity on a hand- fled, when near the foot of the hil tithe sled met with an obstruction and so rapid we - its motion when the sled struck it precipitated hint three times his length, when lie fell upon his face bruising and lacerating it very badly. He came immediately home and applied the Embrocation keeping the raw places constantly wet. with this sovcrt'gn rtmtay, the result of which is, that this morning, three days after his fall, the boy is entirely well. I consider the Healing Embrocation the best remedy for cuts, woifhds, burns, scalds, etc., that I have ever used or seen, and always intend to keep a full sup- ply of it in my house. I sincerely hope that every person who reads this will atonic supply himself with this incomparable remedy aud save himself, his family or his friends a vast deal of pain aud suffering which may be pioduced by a fall or other accident. ROBERT DAVIS. Providence, Feb. 15, 1348. Mn. C. Dyer, Jr.— Dear Sir: You will perhaps reccollect that I called on you some months since, being at the time very lame, caused as I observed to you by a slight cut upon the side of my foot in which I had taken cold, producing innamation, much soreness and pain, witli which I had been suffering a week or more. I hAil used a number of preparations, including Davis’s Pain Killer, none of which gave me any relief. You gave me a bottle of your Healing Embrocation. I used it according to directions and was surprised to find an almost immediate beneficial effect, and before the bottle was emptied I had so far recovered that I wore my boot very comfortably, and my foot wa3 in less than a week well. I have since purchased of you about three dozen bottles, and keep it constanly in my house and shop for various complaints and easualities. Among others I have found it effectual in cases of severe headache to which I am subject, and in cpses of burns or scalds, rheumatic pains in the limbs, pains in the stomach or chest, cuts, wounds, bruises and strains. 1 have also used it very successfully in the case of corns, having had a number of these very troublesome ex- r-rescencies on my toes, which have all disappeared with one exception and that is nearly gone, since I have used the Embrocation upon them. I consider the Healing Embrocation one of the most valuable medicines with which I am now acquainted and do most cheerfully ’recommend it to every family to keep always at hand for use in any emergency. Yours truly, JAMES EAMES, Tin Ware and Stove Manufacturer. Providence, Feb. 1348. IMPORTANT TESTIMONY. We can hear testimony to the superior virtues of your “Healing- Embrocation.” A gentleman the other day received a wound in the head near the temporal artery in- flicted by the sharp corner of a writing- desk, and called on us in great haste to pre- scribe. The wound was deep, very alarmingly swollen and painful, and being in n critical place, no time was to be lost. We applied Dyer’s Healing Embrocation freelv to the parts, and immediately the swelling disappeared, the pain ceased, the wound soon closed and no further inconvenience was felt from it. Another man unfortunately drove a steel pen deep into the palm of his hand among the cords and ligaments, and came to us for relief. The wound did not bleed, but i-xhibited the nest malignant appearance anti the whole arm seemed to be paralysed and senseless. We applied a bandage to the wound thoroughly saturated with Dyer’s Healing Embrocation and ordered to be kept wet with the same for sevcrsl hours. 5 The cure was complete. The next day this hand could be used with the same free- dom it could before the accident. Very respectfully, your ob’t servants, " JOS. L. KELLEY & CO., Portland, Me. To Mr. C. Dyer, Jr., Providence, R. I. Wc take pleasure in publishing the above testimony from the highly respectable house of J. L. Kelley & Co., druggists, of Portland, Maine, showing the reputation which the Healing Embrocation lias acquired abroad as well as at home, and to show that we have not overrated its healing properties. The following certificate, voluntarily presented by Mrs. R. Wilmarth, who has been well known for the last 25 years to very may families in tiffs city as an efficient and kind hearted nurse, who has witnessed many painful and trying scenes and great physical suffering and the utter failure of most of the favorite prescriptions of the med- ical profession, is certainly very conclusive in favor of this extraordinary preparation. DYER’S HEALING EMBROCATION. In fact, physicians tnemselves, (those at least who feel a, greater interest in relievtng the sufferings rather than the pockets of their patients) do not hesitate to pronounce Dyer’s Healing F.mbrocation “ a medicine of great value” and freely prescribe it to patients. MOTHERS AND NURSES READ THIS CAREFULLY. To Mr. Charles Dyer, Jr.—Dear Sir: This is to certify that I have used your Healing Embrocation in a great variety of cases to my great satisfaction. I had been afllic.teff for fifteen years with a severe pain in my left side caused by a strain. I made use of the Embrocation and found immediate relief, and for more than two years I have been entirely free from that affliction. In my profession as a nurse I have found it one of the best remedies I have ever used. In sore throat it has been effectual, and in every case of burns I have known it has given immediate relief. For ague in the face, sore nipples and breast I never knew it fail, and for lame backs and sides it has wrought most wonderful cures, and I have also known it cure corns on the feet by a few applications. I have used it for cramp, lameness and stiffness of the limbs, stiff neck, and rheumatic affections, and esteem it as one of the most wonderful and effica- cious remedies. The case of an elderly lady who was troubled with rheumatism in the neck and back so that she could not turn her head for a great part of the time was entirely cured of this long standing and painful complaint by the use of three or four of the small bottles. After all the experience I have had with this invaluable and po- tent remedy by applying it to others and having used it so effectually in my own case, I deem it my duty to recommend it to every family where I am called profes- sionally, as well as to all others, as the best, safest and most effectual remedy for the complaints above named my long experience in sick chambers and in the use of the various prescriptions of physicians affords me facilities for judging in relation to these medicines, and I pronounce the Healing Embrocation superior to all others. Seekonk, Feb. 9, 1848. R. WILMARTH, Nurse. Mr. C. Dyer.—Dear Sir : I have used a number of bottles of your Healing Em- brocation and have found it a very valuable and effectual remedy for bruises and scalds. A servant woman in my family scalded her hand very severely with boiling fat which in a few minutes raised a large blister on the back of it. The Embrocation was applied immediately to tbe blistered surface by bathing. A bandage was soon wrapped around it and kept wet with the Embrocation, and was not removed until 5 or 6 days afterwards, when the hand was found entirely well and no scar left upon it. 1 have had many occasions to use it for burns and scalds on my children, and in many cases of wounds, bruises, fresh cuts, and soreness or pains in the limbs, &c. &c. and I have always found it to be equal to your representations and recommendation, and I do without hesitation and with great pleasure recommend it to any individual and family, and would advise all to keep it oy them for immediate use, believing it to be the most valuable preparation for such purposes tilth I have ever seen or used. Very respectfully yours, Providence, Feb. 1848. * JOEL BLAISDILL. DYER’S HEALING EMBROCATION. Is constantly increasing- in public favor and estimation and is now almost the uni- versal Panacea. It being uniform in quality, unsurpassed as a healing and pain de- stroying remedy convenient for application, neat and delicate in its nature, unfailing in its curative properties and effects, it takes precedence of any other article used or recommended for like purposes, and whenever introduced into a family no persua- sion would induce them to be without it a moment. Reader, if you have never used 6 it and have unfortunately become wounded, cut or bruised, or are suffering from pain either internal or external, cholera morbus, diarrhoea, rheumatism, lumbago, sprains or still joints, try Dyer’s Healing Embrocation at once, and you will ever after keep it on hand. Mr. Charles Dyer, Jr —Dear Sir: I feel much pleasure in furnishing my tes- timony, in favor of your Healing Embrocation. About two weeks since, 1 unfortu- nately fell and a large stick of timber falling at the same time, struck me on the arm and leg. I was very much bruised and lamed, so much so, that I could not use my arm. I procured a Dottle of Embrocation of Mr. Dearth, by whom it was recom- mended, and by the of it the relief was very great, and in a few days my limbs were restored to their usual strength. My oldest boy a short time since cut his hands very severely in twoplar.es with glass. I applied the Embrocation, the next day the soreness was all gone, and in a few days tne wounds were entirely cured. I can confidently recommend it as a superior article. Bristol, R. I. April 5, 1848. CHARLES Y. BLIVEN. Mr. Charles Dyer, Jr.—Sir: For a long time I was troubled with a pain in the left side of my back and hip, often affecting my whole side I tried various remedies including Davis and Tibbitt’s Pain Killer, without any effect. I called at the store of Mr. Dearth, who showed mo testimonials in favor of your Healing Embrocation. Being acquainted with some who had used and recommended it, I purchased a bottle and commenced using it, and flic result is, that I am now entirely free from any trouble in my back, side or limbs, and I can with great pleasure recommend it to all as a very superior article, and well worthy the high reputation it enjoys. Bristol, R. 1. April 5, 1849. ' CHARLES SPENCER. Mr. Charles Dyeh, Jr.—Dear Sir: This certifies that I commenced using your Healing Embrocation in September last and find it very beneficial to my health.— Previous to that time, for nearly three years, I had been aide to do but little work in consequence of having repeated and frequent attacks of Fever and Ague, but since I commenced the use of your invaluable medicine my health has very much improved so that I have been able to labor most of the time, nut the symptoms of the disease occasionally appear, and whenever they do the use of the Embrocation both externally and internally removes the pain and relieves me immediately. I could not possibly be without it, and I think it is even better than it is recommended to be. 1 have used it eflectually on my little boys limb upon which he has a tumour and it seems to be almost eradicated. I have seen it used in rheumatism, for wounds, bruises, and other casualities with unfailing success, and believe it to be the most valuable and effi- cacious preparation for all such purposes that I ever knew. Yours respectfully, Nashua, N. H. May 3, 1848. SARAH Mc’CLURE. Mr. Dyer.—Dear Sir: Permit me to say a word in favor of your Embrocation. I received recently a fall from a carriage which bruised me severely. I bought n bottle of your Healing Embrocation, applied it to the wound, and am happy to say that in a few days I was able to resume my business. Providence, June 1848. Z. TAYLOR BARTON. Mb. Chas. Dyer, Jb—Dear sir: I have reason to believe your Healing Embro- cation is decidedly the greatest cure for burns, cuts and sprains ever invented.— Riding in a carriage two months ago it was suddenly overturned and I was thrown with much violence into the road the wheels passing over my letrs bruising them badly. I applied the Embrocation to the wounded parts and in a few days resumed my bu- ■ iness. My son while bathing with a water party cut his feet severely with an oyste, shell and was also speedily cujred by your remarkable Embrocation. A servant in my family was badly burnt by placing her fingers on a hot Hat iron, but was cured at once by applying the Healing Embrocation. Yours truly. Providence, June 1849. CHARLES H. APPLETON, JR. ANOTHER LIFE SAVED. A son of Mr. A. Weaver, of Tuckersville Conn, was most severely scalded in the following manner : his mother had taken a pailful of boiling water from the fire ana proceeding out of doors to put it into a washing tub, when she was met in the door- way by the child who was running in and striking the pail the contents was thrown immediately upon its back and neck. Mr. W. being in the house at the time took off the childs clothes at once, and having a part of a bottle of Dyer’s Healing Krnbro- cation at hand poured the contents immediately upon the scalded parts and then sent to a neighboring store for another bottle of Embrocation with which he saturated .1 cloth sufficiently large to cover with several thicknesses the scalded part The child was then put into bed and in fifteen minutes was fast asleep, and no other applica- 7 tiou was needed as a perfect cure was effected, proving conclusively the inestimable value of this wonderful preparation and the advantage of keeping it constantly at hand for use in any casualty. Remember then that Dyer’s Healing Embrocation immediately cures scalds, wounds, cuts, bruises, pain in any part of the system, cholera morbus, diarrhoea, rheumatism, and various other external and internal diseases. New York, June 27, 1849. Mr. C. Dyer, Jr.—Dear Sir : We take pleasure in acknowledging the great med- icinal qualities of your celebrated Embrocation. For the last six months we have used it on board of the U. S. Steamer Falcon, with much success and we do not .hesitate to say it is far superior to any of the preparations bearing the name of Pain Killer, Destroyers, &c. In numerous instances of severe cramps and pains it has given immediate relief, and we consider it the ne plus ultra of medicines in attacks of the Cholera. Wishing you the prosperity which your great Embrocation merits, We remain yours respectfully, E. L. BIRDSALE, Chief Engineer. MARTIN A. SCOTT, 1st Assistant Engineer. GEO. W. Dyer, Jr.—In justice to you and in accordance with my duty to the public, I am constrained to add my testimony in favor of your Healing Embrocation, a med- icine, indeed ‘of great value.’ Early last month I was attacked with cholera morbus, which soon prostrated me. After trying all the medicines usually kept by families, without any relief, 1 was obliged to call in the aid of a good physician. After three days of suffering and pain, I finally recovered. Having had another attack this week of the same complaint, I was induced by the solicitation of your agents, Messrs. Ken- yon & Northup, of this place, to try your Healing, Embrocation, and in less than thirty minutes after taking the first dose I was entirely relieved. I recommend every Eerson who is in the least troubled with this complaint to use “ Dyer’s Healing Em- rocation ” as the first and best remedy that can be had. Millville, Mass. Jaly 28, 1849. J. C. Dear Sir—It gives me great pleasure to congratulate you on your success in pre- paring an article so valuable in many cases, as your celebrated Healing Embrocation. The boxes of that article, which you so kindly gave me, on my departure for the Rio Grande, In March last, were of great service to me and to the men belonging to my company. In cases of cramp in the stomach, relief was almost instantaneously afford- ed by the use of the Embrocation, internally and externally applied. I bad occasion to use it and witness its use in this way in a great number of cases, and it never failed to produce almost instantaneous cure. In cases where a soldier had been ex- hausted by exposure to the sun I saw its efficacy, not only when applied lo men of my own company, but also to some of the men belonging to the lltli regiment uf In- fantry, who were with me encamped at Camp Palo Alto. It was there also applied externally and internally and with speedy relief. I gave some bottles of the Heal- ing Embrocation to Captains Carr and Irwin of the lltli Infantry, who found it of great service and afterwards spoke of it to me in terms of great praise, I regreted ex- tremely when my last liottle of Embrocation was exhausted, as 1 considered it inval- uable to me in this southern climate. It you deem it of any advantage to you, you are at liberty to make such use of this as yon please 1 am confident that in cases fucIi as I have mentioned the Embrocation will always be found in the highest tlcgrec efficacious.
