ALLEGED SHIPMENT: On or about June 28 and July 12 and 17, 1944, from the State of Iowa into the States of Ohio, Minnesota, and South Dakota. NATURE OF CHARGE: Adulteration, Section 402 (a) (3), the products consisted in whole or in part of filthy substances by reason of the presence of insect fragments, rodent hairs, eat hairs, human hairs, unidentified hairs, a straw fiber, larvae fragments, insect larvae, a live mite, and feather fragments; and, Section 402 (a) (4), they had been prepared and packed under insanitary conditions whereby they might have become contaminated with filth. DISPOSITION : May 22, 1945. A plea of guilty having been entered on the part of the defendant, a fine of $400 on each of 3 counts, a total fine of $1,200, plus costs, was imposed.
