The Royal Thai Government has initiated the Family Health Project, which is dedicated to the improvement of health and well-being of all families, including providing adequate reproductive services. The need for this is illustrated with the story of a woman named Nian, who struggles to raise her seven children on very little money and with decreasing stamina. By contrast, a man named Somsak provides for his family well, due in part to their being able to limit their family to three children. These two worlds collide when Nian's son Santi, desperate to find a way to help his poor mother, finds himself involved in a scheme to steal money from Somsak.
