Pre-speech and language treatment of a cerebral palsied child (Joey) Cerebral Palsy Cerebral Palsy -- complications Speech Disorders -- therapy Child Infant Joey, a child with cerebral palsy, has several physical and intellectual disabilities. Joey is also repeatedly described as a “floppy” baby, as he has poor control over movement, balance, and posture. This video demonstrates several exercises to help Joey develop physically and mentally to the best of his capabilities. These include stretching exercises and listening to soothing music. A ball of yarn and bowl of water are both used to exercise Joey’s tactile senses.
