<dc:description>(Critical) This program portrays the positive, self-help aspects of the elderly population, stressing their desire for independence, dignity, and self-worth. It focuses only on the urban aging, who have access to resources and alternatives; no minority groups or rural aging are included; other life styles throughout the country should be portrayed. Interviews with a Gray Panther representative are clearly presented, but the issues, such as mental health, income, and health problems should be elaborated and addressed more specifically. Because none of the issues are well delineated or thoroughly discussed, this is useful for introductory purposes only. Overall, the program is timely, relevant, and recommended for use.</dc:description>
