<dc:description>In this color postcard, several people gather around a desk in what is presumably a lawyer's office. Seated is the lawyer in a dark suit, legs crossed, and chin resting on his hand. Next to him is a woman at a typewriter, wearing a red dress. On the other side of the desk are a couple, a nurse, and a baby. The divorce reason referred to on the postcard appears to be that although the couple is white, the baby, held by the nurse, is dark-skinned. The husband wears a gray suit with white shirt. The wife wears a long dark dress and red hat with broad brim and a flower. She holds a handkerchief to her face, either crying or hinding her face. The nurse wears a blue dress with white apron and cap. The baby is dressed in a long white gown and sleeps in the nurse's arms.</dc:description>
