  <dc:description>Teen pregnancy rates in California are gradually declining with the exception of a slight upturn in Latino teen rates. Los Angeles County is particularly plagued by teen pregnancy risk factors, including high sexual activity and unprotected sex rates, lack of access to pregnancy prevention resources, and sexually transmitted diseases among teens. In the following report, Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA) and evaluation partners, Advanced Empirical Solutions (AES), examined the impact of a teenage pregnancy prevention initiative on a sample of middle schools students in Los Angeles County.</dc:description>
