WHO granted fellowships to former &quot;assistants medicaux&quot; to complete their studies and return to the Congo as full medical doctors. 108 of them are now following courses at 5 French universitites. Martin Tshishimbi, 30, was a medical assitant in North Kasai for 3 years after 6 years of study in Leopoldville. He is now in Lyons (France) with his family as a 5th-year medical student.
