Abstract:
Color illustration of a woman carrying a wooden produce box of marijuana buds. The box is labeled California Homegrowers Assoc. The blonde woman is wearing an orange bonnet and a low cut white peasant style top that laces up the front. She is smoking a corn cob pipe and wearing a blue necklace, bracelet and ring. In the background is a large farm in shades of green. There is a red barn and a white artillery gun further in the background. The word "stupor" is in yellow print shadowed in brown followed by the word "farms" in red print. Additional text is in yellow, orange and pink outlined in red. The illustration is bordered in yellow and black. The artists' names and copyright information are at the bottom of the card in black print. This is one of several images the artists collaborated on, featuring a series of iconic marijuana brand label parodies they called the California Homegrowers Association. The fake brands they created were illustrations inspired by the California produce crate-style agricultural labels of the day. Text on the postcard verso is in black print.
