Abstract:
Postcard featuring the cover of the Recipe for hate album by the band Bad Religion. The cover was an original black and white photo collage on a red background – using the bodies of 1930s Southern racists mocking the press after their acquittal by an all-white jury for murder, and 1944 Nazi Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp guard dog heads. The name of the band and the album title are in black at the top of the image. The postcard recto provides information about an organization called Legalise that is campaigning to legalize cannabis. Details about the campaign and how to contact the organization and offer support is provided in faded dark print.
