Abstract:
This postcard advertises the 1992 Freddy Mercury tribute concert held in Wembley Stadium. The concert honored Mercury, the lead vocalist of Queen, who had died from AIDS the previous November. It also sought to raise AIDS awareness and funds. The card features a black and white drawing of Mercury in one of his iconic concert poses, standing with legs spread apart, right arm raised straight above his head and looking down at his left hand, which is holding the microphone.
