Abstract:
This postcard was issued for World AIDS Day on December 1, 1998, and promotes the use of condoms to prevent the spread of AIDS. The Levi's logo appears on the card, suggesting the company was a sponsor. The background of the card is light gray with the text "worldAIDSday1dec" in paler gray repeated. In the center of the card is a white circle with a red ribbon inside. "worldAIDSday1dec" is in black text above the circle and "Wear a condom" is in black text below it. The text on the back is Japanese and notes that there are limited means of HIV transmission, sexual intercourse being the most likely source, and a condom is the most effective protection.
