Abstract:
This is the first of three AARP Public Policy Institute Spotlights analyzing SNAP participation among older adults. This analysis of national SNAP participation data among adults ages 50 and older finds that 16 million adults in that group could be eligible for SNAP but are not participating, and more than 3 million are missing out on over $200 a month in benefits.
