The Supporting Family Caregivers Providing Complex Care series includes 10 papers that highlight these themes. The series also features Promising Practice papers that provide specifics on a single practice in one health care system and Spotlight papers that describe innovative state efforts to promote change or a health care system that is implementing multiple practices simultaneously. See www.aarp.org/ nolongeralone. These early snapshots from the field share insights about how hospitals are supporting family caregivers and open a dialogue among leaders involved in enhancing health care delivery. These early observations ultimately could inform practice recommendations.
