Instructional Film and Video - Abstract:
- This animated film stresses the need for family planning in India, explaining that rapid population growth is erasing gains made in agriculture, industry, and other areas. With too many members to feed and care for, families suffer. Having many pregnancies can weaken a woman, and can result in sickly babies as well. The film shows the benefits of family planning and the steps taken by the Governments, Central and State, in this direction, noting that family planning centers provide information on planning and limiting childbearing as well as help to couples who may wish to have a child but don't yet.
