Abstract:
Set in El Salvador, the film depicts a dialog between a village healthcare promoter and a rural farmer on family planning options available to him and his family. At the town’s communal forum, the community leaders dispel misconceptions about the methods available to men; namely, vasectomies. The ensuing conversations and overall message of the film discourage the chauvinistic tendency to procreate at the expense of maternal, infant, and environmental health.
