Abstract:
Carleton Simon, a psychiatrist and Special Deputy New York Police Commissioner overseeing narcotic control from 1920 to 1925, conducted this survey to assess the extent and nature of addiction in New York City. Kolb later cited the NYC survey as one of the best of that decade.
