The white postcard has the following written in large black letters: "Farbe bekennen! Welt-Aids-Tag, 1. Dezember", which means "Show your color! World AIDS Day, December 1." Below are four rows of gray icons representing men and women. At the end of the rows, in the place of the icons, are various numbers of mostly two-color (shades of red and beige) processed photographs of men and women. On the right side of the upper half of the postcard is a photograph of a large red AIDS ribbon. On the left side of the bottom half of the postcard is a small two-paragraph statement explaining the meaning of the red ribbon and thanking everyone whose charitable contributions helped various AIDS-related organizations. At the bottom of the postcard is the telephone number, and URL of Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung.
