Abstract:
This postcard was issued as part of the "Gib AIDS keine Chance" (Don't Give AIDS a Chance) campaign to encourage the use of condoms. It features a playing card bearing a jack of hearts on the top and jack of spades on the bottom half. The two images are similar, but not identical. The top one is wearing a cap with blue and yellow feathers and two little yellow bells, a ruffled collar and gloves. He is holding a yellow condom in his right hand. The bottom one is wearing a red cap with green feathers, a lace collar and no gloves. He is holding a green condom in his right hand. Both are wearing blue and red outfits and red cloaks and each is holding a spear in his left hand. "Gib AIDS keine Chance" appears in a box next to each image in the top left corner. The text is in black and all capital letters, except for AIDS, which has white text on a red background.
