[A playing card showing a jack of hearts on one side and a queen of hearts on the other]
This postcard was issued as part of the "Gib AIDS keine Chance" (Don't Give AIDS a Chance) campaign to encourage the use of condoms. It features a playing card bearing a jack of hearts on the top and a queen of hearts on the bottom half. The jack is wearing a cap with blue and yellow feathers and two little yellow bells, a blue and gold top with a ruffled collar, and gloves. He is holding a yellow condom in his right hand and a spear in his left. The queen’s brown hair is styled in curls on the sides of her face and on her head is a wreath of red roses. She is holding a red condom in her left hand. Her dress is green with white trimming, and she is wearing a necklace made of pearls and red and blue stones. Both she and jack are wearing red cloaks, hers trimmed with fur. "Gib AIDS keine Chance" appears in a box next to each image in the top left corner. The text is in black and all capital letters, except for AIDS, which has white text on a red background.
