Abstract:
This illustrated postcard was issued as part of the "Gib AIDS keine Chance" (Don't Give AIDS a Chance) campaign, and in particular its "mach's mit" (Do it with [a condom]) theme, to encourage the use of condoms. It features an Olympic awards podium with the positions labeled 1, 2, and 3, corresponding to gold, silver and bronze medals. Atop the highest step is a gold condom. "Gib AIDS keine Chance" appears in a box in the bottom right corner of the card. The text is in black and all capital letters, except for AIDS, which has white text on a red background. "Mach's mit" appears in black text in the lower left corner.
