Kirathimo Model Village.
Kenya Red Cross Society. - Abstract:
- Profiles a model village established by the Red Cross of Kenya to assist mothers with multiple small children who need help in caring for their families and in spacing the births of future children. When babies are spaced too closely, they must be weaned early and are often placed on a diet that doesn't provide adequate nutrition. The children need medical care and access to more healthful food, while mothers can benefit from family planning options.
