This film describes and demonstrates operative technique for repair of retro-displacement of the uterus. Film lists symptoms and preliminary test needed to justify this uterus suspension operation. Some scenes included show the following: incision, prolapsed ovaries beneath uterus deep in pelvis, uterosacral ligaments sutured together forming a broad supporting diaphragm, round ligaments sutured together and then to the back of the fundus of the uterus, peritoneal fold incised and freed by blunt dissection, bladder elevated by suturing the cervico-vesico fold high on the anterior uterine surface, another suture more firmly attaching the round ligaments to the uterus, and closure.
