This lecture, presented in slideshow format, deals with atopic dermatitis, an inflammation of the skin. The history of the disease and its discovery is given, as well as methodology for its identification, various causes, and its prevalence in certain kinds of people. The disease causes severe itching, and scratching the affected area aids in its spread.
