Abstract:
(Critical) This module demonstrates the procedure of a stereotactic thalamotomy in a case of dystomia, and details pre- and post-operative patient examination. This movement disorder is explained and neurologic examination is demonstrated. Lesion generation is not well explained, the operating room sequence is not clearly presented, and the anatomy is inadequately illustrated. The program is recommended with reservations as an introduction on neurology rotation.
