Abstract:
(Critical) This program demonstrates a technique for root amputation in a maxillary molar and presents indications and contraindications for the procedure. The case is well-defined, simple and straightforward; it may portray the technique somewhat simplistically. A complete discussion of the oral hygiene, restorative aspects and potential complications are not included. This is an introductory summary of the procedure and its rationale but it does not impart sufficient instruction for implementing the procedure under a variety of circumstances. The production is of very high technical quality. It is recommended with some reservations for use.
